In his car, while having a meeting, he has his doctor carry out his daily medical checkup; Eric worries about the doctor's finding that he has an asymmetrical prostate. After devastating currency speculation, he kills his bodyguard and follows a path of further self-destruction, including visiting his potential murderer and deliberately shooting himself in the hand.

The future America is an irradiated waste land. On its East Coast, running from Boston to Washington DC, lies Mega City One- a vast, violent metropolis where criminals rule the chaotic streets. The only force of order lies with the urban cops called “Judges” who possess the combined powers of judge, jury and instant executioner. Known and feared throughout the city, Dredd (Karl Urban) is the ultimate Judge, challenged with ridding the city of its latest scourge – a dangerous drug epidemic that has users of “Slo-Mo” experiencing reality at a fraction of its normal speed.

During a routine day on the job, Dredd is assigned to train and evaluate Cassandra Anderson (Olivia Thirlby), a rookie with powerful psychic abilities thanks to a genetic mutation. RoboCop (2013) – Official Synopsis

Synopsis:

In "RoboCop," the year is 2029 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. Jessica on fighting another woman: "Kate and I laughed about [fighting each other]. We never get to fight women in our movies, so we never had hair to deal with. I'd fake punch her, her hair would go flying and get caught in my button, and I'd be stuck to her head."

Kate on her secret skill: "Apparently, I'm really good at firing a gun without blinking, which is unusual. That's why so many action characters have to wear sunglasses during shootout scenes. That's my party trick."

Colin on his favorite body part: "The big toe on my left foot, because it survived an awful traumatic event nine years ago. I can't remember [what happened], because I was blacked out, but it ended up with a lot of blood."

Kate on not wearing panties: "Yeah, I don't wear knickers. I mean, unless I'm wearing a very short skirt -- or maybe if I'm going on a mountain expedition with extra layers. But no, I don't like them."

Development

The film was first announced on July 4, 2008, but Eli Roth and RZA had been talking about the project since 2005. RZA had written the story, and the two collaborated on the screenplay. Roth came on board as producer in 2007, and brought the film to producers Eric Newman and Marc Abraham. Over the course of two years RZA and Roth worked on the screenplay together, talking through every aspect of the story, down to the detail of every weapon.

Principal photography began began in China in December 2010 on an estimated $20 million budget, and had wrapped by March 2011.Filming locations included the city of Shanghai and the world's largest film studio, Hengdian World Studios. Corey Yuen acted as the film's action choreographer.

The first cut of the film was 4 hours long and RZA suggested splitting it into two films, but Roth disagreed and it was ultimately cut down to approximately 90 minutes.
